Illuminations, decorations and tableware, advent calendars, gift cards, and other small touches to slip at the foot of the tree ... London is the champion of Christmas shopping. In addition to the "Christmas markets" that grow like mushrooms, it is the capital of "department stores", the equivalent of our department stores, which are all more or less in the west of the city, between Soho (Liberty London), Mayfair (Fortnum & Mason) and the south of Hyde Park (Harrods). As the holidays approach, their windows are as busy as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace Tower Bridge.


This year, Harrods wins the prize for the most spectacular Christmas windows. The modest former grocery store opened in 1849 by Charles Henry Harrods, now a luxury department store has given carte blanche... to Dior! A Franco-English meeting at the top is frankly worth the detour. Until 3 January 2023, the largest store in Europe (90,000 square meters on seven levels) has thus been transformed...
